Meet the Team

    Clinic Cat

    Binx has been a part of the family for 15 years. His duties include meowing at clients, receiving scratches, warming up the front desk, and supervising the sale of food…oh and trying to disappear out the front door!

    Dr Clementine Deny "Clem"

    Veterinarian

    DVM

    Dr Clem has been a part of our family for 11 years (2014). Clem undertook her Veterinary studies in Belgium and has worked in France and the US and so brings a wealth of knowledge to the practice. She is passionate about ophthamology and enjoys spending time with her two children and her fur-child Lu Lu.

  • Dr Romilly Haslam

    Veterinarian

    BVSc

    Dr Romilly has been working as a veterinarian for 22 years across Australia and the UK. She is passionate about small animal surgery, including soft tissue and orthopaedics, as well as dentistry. She will be joining us on the 5th of November as part of the team.

  • Dr Samuel Hocking

    Veterinarian

    BVSc

    Dr Sam has been working as a veterinarian for 4 years and has interests in small animal surgery and in diagnostic imaging. He is a former RSPCA volunteer and has most recently been working in the UK as a veterinary surgeon. He joined our team on the 17th of November.

    Dr David J Busby "Buzz"

    Veterinarian

    BVSc

    Buzz started as a dairy vet in Victoria, before travelling to the UK to work on the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak. On return to Aus, he moved into small-animal practice, focusing on emergency medicine and advanced surgery.

    In 2010, Buzz and Brooke founded Sunshine Coast Vets in Pomona, complete with a piano in the front room for Buzz to play between consults!
    Buzz is currently travelling around Australia with his partner Emmy and their three dogs.

    Brooke

    Owner and Senior Veterinary Nurse

    Brooke helped start the practice 15 years ago alongside Dr. Buzz. She is now the sole owner as well as a senior veterinary nurse. Her special interest is nutrition as she worked with Hill’s Pet Nutrition helping develop and research the leading pet food products.

  • Dr Jacqui King

    Practice Manager and Veterinarian

    BVSc, PhD

    Dr Jacqui joined our team in January 2025 as Practice Manager. In addition to her BVSc, she has a GradDip in Animal Breeding Management and a PhD in Veterinary Medicine. She also has post-graduate business qualifications, as well as lots of experience in both fields. She has two fur-kids, Chewie and Charlie, and two (adults) of the two-legged variety.

    Bec

    Senior Veterinary Nurse

    Bec has been part of our team for almost 9 years (2017). She is a senior veterinary nurse (veterinary technician) from Canada who enjoys all things fluffy. In her spare time, she can be found training her rescue puppy “Squish”.

    Senior Veterinary Nurse

    Jo joined our team in January 2025 after working for a local emergency clinic. Originally from the UK, she enjoys spending time with her little boy and two kitties, Tigy and Sushi.

  • Leticya

    Senior Veterinary Nurse

    Leticya is a senior Veterinary Nurse who commenced with the team in 2017. She is currently on parental leave after welcoming a baby boy into their family to keep their little girl company.

    Lilley

    Veterinary Nurse

    Lily is known for her Doggy Farm Stays in Kybong, providing boarding for pooches big and small. She has recently come back from parental leave and hopes to continue her Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing.

    Donna

    Veterinary Nurse

    Donna joined the team in 2022 after relocating from the Northern Territory. She’s currently training as a veterinary nurse and brings plenty of hands-on animal experience. Outside of work, Donna keeps busy on her farm, where the cows and sheep occasionally test her patience (and her veggie patch)!

  • Breanna

    Veterinary Nurse

    Breanna has been a key part of the team since 2019. She commenced working for us after school and has progressed to now being a trainee Veterinary Nurse.

  • Chloe

    Veterinary Assistant

    Chloe is one of our veterinary assistants and is a crucial member of the team. Chloe began with us in 2022 and plays a key role in keeping the hospital operating efficiently by supporting the veterinarians and nurses in their roles.

    Kylee

    Groomer

    Kylee is our amazing groomer who specialises in all sorts of doggy haircuts. She has a soft spot for dogs who are larger than life, but even the tiny pooches are treated like royalty in her salon.

  • Felipe

    Veterinary Assistant

    Felipe commenced with us in January 2026 and is a qualified veterinarian from Colombia. While not able to work in Australia in his profession, he brings to us a massive amount of technical knowledge as well as compassion and understanding of our clientele and their best fur friends.
